Description

Tea: Midori Sencha

Grower: The Kurihara Family

Origin: Shizuoka, Japan

Harvest Date: Spring 2013

• • •

This is an organic-grown green tea of the first harvest in the spring. From the previous fall the tea plant goes into hibernation and the first young leaf buds are filled with nutrients that have been stocked up in the plant. This produces the highest grade of tea leaf with an extra strong flavor. Handpicked from a select number of the best fields.

Tasting Notes: Fresh Cut Grass, Cauliflower, Nectar

How To Brew

Use 2-4 grams (1-2 teaspoon dried tea leaves) for 8 fl. oz. water 105-125F/40-50C in your favorite teapot or infuser (use bottled drinking water for best flavor). Steep for 2-3 minute for the 1st steep and 212F/100C 30 seconds 2-3rd steeps.

These are suggested brewing instructions. We encourage you to experiment and share your own brewing methods as you continue to grow in the tea culture. If you're new to tea this is a good way to start.
