A Taiwanese oolong tea from Zhushan Township. A great representative of Taiwan's floral-fruity flavors and full, buttery mouthfeel and great complexity. The aroma lingers with lasting aftertaste.
This lot is from Alfredo's new organic-grown tea garden, and is grown all-natural with no chemicals or conventional pesticides. Large tea trees line the tea fields to protect it from surrounding chemical-grown fields. It is rare to find naturally-grown teas in Taiwan because of the long history of pesticide use, but Alfredo along with a few farmers in a new generation are trying to change this trend towards more sustainable and progressive farming methods.
As a result of the all-natural growing method, the tea leaves do not have a very uniform appearance, but their excellent quality shines through in the flavor, which is much more complex and fresh!
