Sencha of the Spring Sun is one representative of Japan's most common green tea, sencha. It is named for the Spring Sun because the tea is crafted from plants that are grown on south-facing slopes, which receive the most sunlight during the harvest season. A stream running nearby generates mists which helps to consistently grow fragrant leaves every year, while the abundant sunshine produces a more vibrant, bittersweet flavor. The result is a fresh, energetic flavor that is well-suited for the green tea palate. Notes of roasted seaweed, wet rock, and sweet-savory flavors.
