Genmaicha is one of Japan's most well-known green tea outside sencha. Genmaicha literally means "brown rice tea", and this version is made with premium green tea and 100% Japanese-grown sweet mochi rice. Some of the rice grains have popped into popcorn! This tea is a traditional blend, initially created as a peasant's tea. Rice was mixed in with then-expensive green tea to make it more accessible to the common man.

Now, genmaicha is one of Japan's most popular and well-known teas. It is a great introduction to the diverse world of Japanese green tea, with a sweet and nutty flavor with a rich savory warmth. It pairs well with food, and is great consumed at any point in the day.

Grown on the Kinezuka Family's all-natural farm. Headed by Toshiaki Kinezuka, NaturaliTea has been growing all-natural tea for 36 years in Nakayama Village in Shizuoka, Japan. Their teas are grown at an altitude of 350m (1150ft), with the Yabukita cultivar.
