Also known as Thyolo OP1 Black, this tea is named after its local area, and is a blend of various cultivars on the estate. The leaves of this black tea are full, with whole leaves and little breakage. The result is a smooth, soft texture and light flavors, making this tea an easy drinker.

The tea is harvested by hand, withered, and then rolled before being allowed to oxidize. The flavor profile is a sweet, velvety take on classic black tea - malty and full, but with a slightly creamy texture and notes of chocolate and fragrant wood. Works well as an everyday black tea, both with or without additives.

Recommended Brewing Instructions: Use 3-5g of leaves per 8oz (240ml) of water. Brew at 200F-205F for between 1-2 minutes. Experiment with brewing techniques to get different profiles and levels of strength.
