This April 10 harvest is sweet, nutty, and fresh, with a clean mineral finish and a softly sparkling texture. The aftertaste lingers with a soft aroma and a sweet flavor. An elegant and complex Dragonwell.

Because Dragonwell is one of China's most famous teas, it can be tricky to source high value Dragonwell tea. Authentic Dragonwell from the West Lake area is priced too high for the foriegn market, so this high quality and NATURAL version of the tea is a great value. West Lake Dragonwell is grown conventionally with a high use of chemical pesticides and fertilizers.

The few hundred families of Chayuan village have been growing tea since the 1950's. Although their tea is not famous in China or internationally, they have receiving help from a local environmental non-profit called Green Camel Bell to focus on organic and high quality production so tea can serve as a positive economic driver for the community. Production is done on such a small scale that high quality is achievable.

Tealet is the first international supporter of the teas of Chayuan Village, whose name translates to tea garden. Use this tea as an opportunity to educate your customers on the reality of the specialty tea industry of China and the alternative sources of high quality and organic teas from non-famous growing areas.
