A hand-crafted black tea, with the classic brisk textures and citrus notes of Ceylon tea. Toffee and fruit fragrance with fresh but bold flavors.

OP1 refers to the grade of the tea, which is the highest (number 1) quality of pekoe tea: Golden Flowery Orange Pekoe. It is made using only the finest quality one leaf and bud that is hand-plucked with great care. The tea is processed in small batches by hand. The dry leaf has a fruit, toffee and citrus fragrance. The golden copper liquor has complex notes of dried fruit, sweet meadow grass, and citrus.

Sri Lanka is famous for its brisk but flavorful Ceylon black tea, but this hand-crafted black tea from Amba Estate is of unprecedented quality. Much of Sri Lanka's production is commodity, low-quality tea. It is only through carefully-processed specialty teas like these from Amba Estate that the Ceylon profile can be experienced fully.
