A floral, fruity tea with savory undertones and a silky but full texture. A great representative of Taiwanese oolong tea, with its layers of flavor and large, full leaves of great quality. Soft but sweet aftertaste and lingering aroma. From Alfredo Lin of Goe Tea. Nantou, Taiwan.

From Zhushan (Bamboo Mountain) in Zhushan Township, an area with many tea gardens. Harvested at 187m elevation.

Alfredo Lin's family has been growing tea for centuries and owns many gardens in the area, but he decided to grow his own tea. He uses innovative techniques like aerodynamic withering (instead of sun withering or oven withering), giving his leaves more consistency, but also likes highly oxidized oolong tea in the traditional style.

His tea mentor, Master Aones, popularized Taiwanese black tea through the #18 varietal, and is constantly experimenting with tea processing as well. His fondness for new teas and highly oxidized styles are evident in Alfredo's teas.
